Autograph Session

Worked today. My eyes were a bit red then. But that's not important. The important thing is that I went to 阿沁'sautograph session at J8's Top of the 8.


At around 5 pm plus, C told me that he may want to buy his album. I kept telling him that I want to help him to let 阿沁 sign the album. Finally, I got the chance. My manager was so good to let me go to the autograph session when it's still my working time. I was about to buy dinner when C suddenly told me he wants to buy the album and asked me to sign it for him. OMG!

I quickly hurried out and bought an album at $21. Expensive lor. But not my money also. Haha. I was a bit lost there. The security guards had just sort of closed the barriers and ended the queue. Then I asked another (blur) security guard and he told me to go to the other side. When I went to other side, there was no way to join the queue. Then, one friendly and helpful fan asked me if I'd signed the album. I shook my head and she brought me to the other side of the venue and one of the 工作人员 showed me the way into the queue through the path that people go off after their albums are signed. The 工作人员 had to show her pass to let me in lor. Finally, I'm in the queue. Then, a fan in front of me asked if I can move forward or not, coz she wants to be the last. I think I know why that fan wants to be the last. Seriously, I am not really a real fan of his. So, anything lor...

As I'm the last second in the queue, the people in front were of course taking their own sweet time to stop there, talk to him, and look at him. I actually had a lot of time to take photos of him lor. But I forgot to bring my handphone out, coz my manager is like rushing me to go buy dinner. I don't dare to go back to take. Anyway, I'm afraid the autograph session will end soon too. So, I just stood there and looked at his side view for a long time. Arrgh... why didn't I remember my handphone...

The people in front of me were from his fan club. They were very excited lor. They talked to him beside his ear (like when you are telling a close friend your secret) and requested him to write down their name beside his autograph. Then he spent some time to explain that he can't do so. Hence, I had more time to look at him. This time, a clearer view. Okay, it was finally my turn to let him sign. I was so happy when I saw him shaking hands with others. When it was finally my turn, I put the album down and he signed while looking at me. After signing, he looked at me in the eyes and shook hands with me. I didn't really dare to look at him all the time, coz my eyes were red.

He must be thinking....

"Why this girl wear like that (work uniform) to my autograph session?"

"Why her eyes so red?"

"Why she's not as excited as other fans one?"

I quickly went back to shop after getting his autograph and went to buy dinner. When I came back, the autograph session had obviously ended. After work, I stayed in shop to take photos of the autographed album.

C put the album on top of the shelves that were only less than 15 cm away from the ceiling...

Me: Eh, you think I'm so tall ar?

They were all like saying why I kept taking photos of the album. In the end, they also want to take photos of it.

Scooping Ice-cream

It's been a while since I've last blogged...

Worked yesterday. It was damn tiring and I had quite a new experience.

I went to the shop at 9.45am. I took the lift up level 3 and saw the shop shutter opened halfway. It wasn't normally like that. Then I saw a lady walking around in the shop. She must be the new manager that they were talking about.

First conversation with manager A...

A: Are you Jean?
Me: Ya. Are you the new manager?
A: Ya. I've been transferred here from Holland Village.
Me: Ooh.
A: And you are transferred to Holland Village.
Me: HUH?!
A: Just kidding.

Okay, so she likes to joke.

When I was cutting lemon, she suddenly came and asked me a (unique) question.

A: Why are you here? I thought your shop is beside?
Me: [Stunned.]
[OS: Oh, she's referring to Jean Yip...]
Ya lah. They dun want me there mah...
A: [Laughs.]

At around 11 plus, she suddenly bombed me with a piece of news. She hadn't went to the bank. There was only me and her. The shutter was opened. The lights were all on. We are ready for opening. And she tells me she had to go to the bank.

Me: I don't know how to do all the creations, including scooping ice-cream.
A: You can look at the recipe.
Me: No use lah. How long do you have to go?
A: Very fast one.
Me: Huh... Later customers come in then I die lor...
A: Or you want to go to the bank?
Me: Dun want. I dun even know where's the bank.
A: Okay, then I run to the bank and come back quickly.
Me: Erm, you give me your number. If got anything, then I call you then you must run back hor.

So, she left me alone to look after the shop.

Meanwhile, I tried scooping the ice-cream since I had nothing to do. Do some practice first. If not later customers want ice-cream then I dunno how to scoop... Finally, the ice-cream that I scooped were ALL round. Woa, so much satisfaction.

3 customers came in and wanted to order waffle. I told them there is no waffle temporarily, since I saw no waffle mix and so they went away. When A came back, she asked me if there are any customers. Then she told me there is waffle. No use telling them there is, coz I dunno how to do also. Then I asked her to teach me scooping.

Thanks A, C and J for teaching me how to do creations.

Now, I know how to do Chocolate Decadence, Desirable, Divine, Banana Split, a lil of Flower Blossom, Sorbet Freeze and take-away ice-cream.

Both my arms are aching now, coz I scooped ice-cream for hours. The ice-creams were real hard, especially Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Summer Berries and Cream is the softest. I just had to use the force like when I'm drawing to scoop lor.

Let's see when is the next time...

Yeah. There are presents.

These are air flown huggies from Australia. They flew for seven hours to get to my room.

This kangaroo may look ordinary, even with it's little babe in its pouch.


But when you look from the side, then it is an OMG. A koala bear is clinging onto the kangaroo.


I think this koala bear looks a bit angry. Maybe her babe is with the kangaroo?

Yeah, my dad is finally coming back from his trip to Australia. I hope there are presents for me... Woohoo.

2nd Muffin

As I've mentioned earlier on, the muffin was apparently too hard for his tiny teeth.

So I broke the muffin into crumbs. And he ate it happily.


He finds it very nice and started moving his body to the big muffin.

He tried biting the big one but can't. Thus, he settles for the smaller piece beside the big one.


Eventually, he still gets sick of it after eating too much.

Free popcorn and candy floss

Worked opening today. There was a lot of things to be done. But somehow, I still have the time to take photos. Haha.

I've finally found the second pen that I've lost at my workplace. But I didn't take it back coz the pen cover is gone and it is a bit sticky...

There was an event for families (I think so) at Top of the 8. Then they gave out free popcorn and candy floss. I was in the kitchen and was wondering why someone squealed. So it was because E went to queue for popcorn and came back with 4 sticks of popcorn. We poured into a container and shared within us. It was really tasty. I'd even say it was better than those bought in cinemas.

At around 5 plus...

E: WL, who's buying dinner later?
Me: [Feeling uneasy and looks at WL.]
WL: [Blinks at me many times.]
Me: Ok lah. I go and buy. You never see WL look at me until like that meh?
WL: [Smiles and passes me the order and money.]

A while later, E was asking if anyone wants candy floss and started "taking order" from us. C then followed her outside to take. He also took a balloon for J, coz J kept asking me to take one balloon for her. As I was preparing to *buy dinner, I followed them outside too. Stupid C lah... Dunno use balloon to hit me how many times...

*I went to buy XXL Chicken to eat on the long way to Jin Shan Lin Coffeeshop. They should have noticed that I took a long time to come back, coz there was a long queue at Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks. Anyway, I have to wait for S to finish at 7pm. Haha. I worked for an extra hour.

Went to KBox (AMK) with Vanessa, Cordelia, ShuYee, ShuXin and Amelia. We were high in the beginning, but not towards the end, except for ShuXin. Haha.

Playing Day

Worked at 10am today. I can multi task lor... Let's see, I did floor in the morning. Then went to do some cashiering. In the afternoon, I washed dishes. While washing, I have to prepare fondue chocolate, apple pies and brownies. Then I have to take out fondue trays. I can see J is quite pissed off by L. Haha. While J was asking me to help her with the waffle, L kept asking me to do cashiering. Then J kinda told her to just put the bill there and I had to wipe my hands on my apron and do cashiering.

OMG! I was happily preparing fondue chocolate and trays in the earlier part. But when the customers left, all the fondue trays were stacking up. I threw a quick stare at anyone who brought a fondue along with them. Because of all these fondues, I can't leave on time. Then C kept coming to disturb me. When he was refilling water from the tap, I kinda 放空. Who knows he suddenly pour water down my back. And he has the cheek to ask why I bathed. My whole back was wet. Then when he was drinking mango sorbet blend, he splashed some at me lor. Irritating. I looked as if I went there to play, especially when I have coffee powder on my shirt also.

I packed up my things without asking my manager if I can go. Too tired lah. LOL.

Mother's Day Celebration

Celebrated Mother's Day 1 day earlier. We went to the Seafood Centre at East Coast.


We ate at Jumbo Seafood.

Went to Anderson's of Denmark to have ice-cream and coffee. I didn't give my first time to Haagen-Dazs. Haha.

Happie Brownie. For less than $10. But Haagen-Dazs brownie is more delicious. Hehe.

I was reminded of myself in the beginning of work when I saw the new waitress. I was just like her, running back to the counter every time I dunno how to answer customers' questions. So I waited her to come back a few times, very very patiently.
