Uncompleted Journey

9 years of interest. It shall end all by this year...

I was sitting in the studio during yesterday's lesson. 1 hour of sitting there and doing my theory. It's a torture. My parents are like paying her fees to see me draw beansprouts and write ABC. I dunno what's happening to me. I've never felt this way when I was previously learning in Kawai. I think the teacher played a part...

Teacher: This one wrong.
Me: ...
Teacher: This one also wrong.
Me: ... ...
Teacher: Aiyo, this one also wrong.
Me: ... ... ...

What's her problem? I know it's wrong MYSELF. I dun need you to tell me what's right and wrong. I know how to differentiate them. I'm not so idiotic to write a wrong answer purposely, if I knew the right one. Can't you just tell me the correct answer? You have to say it in the end anyway. I'm no stupid fool to let you earn easy money. I've now learnt to give her a very blur look and stare at the question... until she decides to tell me the answer.

8 years back, I was all the while learning Trinity syllabus. There are always things that are not yet learnt in Trinity. Similarly, there are things that were already taught in Trinity, but not in ABRSM. You can't expect me to know everything that an ABRSM student should.

I dun understand why. But my current teacher just made me lose interest in having piano lessons. Not so much till disliking playing piano though. Just enough to dislike having lessons and piano theory. It's already my biggest regret to start learning piano late. It's definite that I'll have an uncomplete journey. I have no one to blame. Many of you will not understand how I'm feeling, maybe not even those who've learnt before, unless you are ME.

If only my previous teacher can teach me again...

But I'm not going to think so much again. I think I'm gonna stop my lessons and learn on my own after my practical exam in July. I think my parents have already spent more than $30,000 in nurturing this interest of mine. They could have been richer, if not for my school fees, exam fees, books and 3 pianos.

My mum told me to make my own decision. She knows I learn piano for interest, not because I wanna teach piano in the future. C'mon, I already feel like banging on the piano when the student next door had to practise scales for 1 whole hour. It's serious noise pollution... at least to my ears. How am I cut out to be a teacher?! What if I strangle my student after hearing too many times of scales?! Kidding lahs.

This entry will keep reminding me to perserve till July. Hopefully, I can make good my promise.

Actually, I dun like to say vulgarities. I only say it when it's important.

I thought it's a kind of ad-lib thing? Like you suddenly say it when you are very angry and you regretted (maybe a bit) after that?

Circus Hamster

Went back to work after so many months of studying. So many things happened these few months. Those people that I was working with in the morning were all new to me. But we became more chatty after a while. It was the first day that I'm working with J, and it'll be the last time seeing her too, coz she'd quitted.

Then I saw some people that I'm familiar with. So nice to see them all. They said I'm someone who will only appear after every few months. Haha.

And and and... I finally made an Iced Cafe Latte. This is not my first time making one, but it's definitely the first one that I made especially for myself. It tastes great too!

I also made many creations today. I think it's far more than the combined creations I did before my last study leave.

On the way home, I went to buy guinea pig food. As a habit, I'll always take a look at those dogs and and small animals on sale. The shop do sell circus hamster!

The hamster kept standing on his hind legs and falling on its back deliberately. I quickly videoed it when I saw it's funny stunt. The hamster did more than 10 times in less than a minute!

This hamster gave me a temptation to buy hamsters again. But I'll control lahs. But something turned me off. I saw so many mice! They were jumping around. Quite disgusting though. I'll never buy a mouse. I dunno why people will want to buy mouse, just because it's the year of mouse. Quite stupid lahs...

Pariss International Buffet

Went to Pariss Family International Buffet for lunch with Cordelia, Vanessa and WanQi. I bet we were the only "friends" who went there. The food there was not too bad. There were many varieties lahs, but I dun eat many, especially those seafood stuffs. I was so amazed when they put those unknown seafood into their mouths. That is something I'd never do in a zillion years.

The whole spread of food that we took to share. Absolutely no space for another plate at the moment.

My Superior Shark's Fin Soup. The pepper that I added almost covered the whole soup surface. Hehe.

WanQi's 佛跳墙. It doesn't look appetizing, but there's mushroon, chicken and prawn inside. And it sure took ages to take off the plastic wrap.

Cake Desserts. The Chocolate Mousse Cake is so damn delicious.

Fondue with marshmallows. Marshmallows... I dun like.

Woohoo! Ice-cream addiction time. There are Chocolate, Durian, Lemon Sherbet, Mint Chocolate and Blueberry Ripple. Some scoops were round, coz it's scooped by me. Haha.

Chicken Satay. I think the whole combination is wrong. It should either be more food on smaller plate or less food on bigger plate. The food is pathetic until you can even count them - 3 satays, 3 cucumbers and 2 onion slices. It's not very tasty also...

Vanessa's Bdae at Sakae Sushi

This was something that happened on 5th February (note that I had to check the date from the photo properties). It was all those CNY, exam and photo quality thinggy that delayed everything. And I'll try my best to remember what we've done. Not that we did many too.

Everything was supposed to be a surprise, until the previous day. And Vanessa still thought that there might be changes of plans. Nah. Off we headed to J8's Sakae Sushi.

This is supposed to be a happy entry. But I really need to share the bad experience there.

The trainee staff was so damn rude. While she was clearing our plates, she went...

Do you know that this is considered food wastage? I'll not charge you this time round.

That was not all. You should see her sickening face and hear her ugly tone. It was just as though she was giving all of us a lecture. She didn't even had the basic courtesy to add a "Please" in front. Doesn't she have common sense at all? C'mon, who'll purposely waste food when it's only the first round of the buffet. I bet she dun even finish all her food at home. We were all so angry lahs. But Amelia did mention this staff to the manager. I think it's kinda the first time that we sort of agreed to complain. Haha.

Unless until further notice, if not Jandy Jean will not want to eat at Sakae Sushi again. This is 100% due to my personal diet and likings. The rude staff and slowness of service played no part in that (or maybe 1% lor). I was so busy stuffing myself with those sushi with crabmeat. And it's weird to hear so many Japanese food names revolving around me. Thanks everyone, I no longer have any cravings for sushi whenever I walk past Sushi Deli at Northpoint.

Crocodiles are killers.

I realised I've got a l'il too many comments whenever I watch the discovery channel. As an animal lover, I'd start scolding (and maybe a l'il cursing too) those predators. I guess my family is used to it too. It was midnight yesterday. My parents were still up. And I started my scoldings, when I saw a crocodile swallowing up an animal. I couldn't remember the name of it, but it was some gigantic one.

The crocodile even swallowed it ALIVE, and the blood was just dripping. Then they filmed the expression of the prey's friend. I swear I saw tears in it's eyes.

However, it may be another different story if I ever see a crocodile being eaten up by a dinosaur. I may help to scold the dinosaur too.
