Naked Fish Shoppe

Went for lunch at The Grassroots' Club's Naked Fish Shoppe, coz there's a 2½ hours break. You know what, there wasn't any (or maybe only minimal) aircon. How can like that... It's such a hot day leh.

Had student's meal there. The waiter uncle was a bit too anxious to get our orders. We hardly had any time to look through the menu and he just said "Fish & Chips is nice" and he sort of made the decision for us. Yea, I know it's only logical to eat fish at Naked FISH Shoppe right. But I decided to order chicken instead, coz Fish & Chips is kind of common...

That uncle was also very efficient in clearing plates and refilling water. But it took a long time for them to realize that Table 10 (us!) wants their bill.

Apple Strudel

Worked yesterday. When I was about to open shop, there was this happening thing. I lost my shoes. Best ar, I tell you. I walked around with slippers, like as if that time with the manager's cap was not enough. Duh. So off I went to buy a new pair of shoes when J came. I didn't exactly feel very sad to waste spend money on shoes that I wear only at work, since my lost shoes became dirtier and dirtier each day, since the day coffee decided to stick on my shoes and follow me around. Just because I love coffee.

And guess what, I still left my new shoes in the shop. No no, losing shoes once is not going to stop me from putting it ever again.

Yesterday was quite slack lah. It's been a long time since I've worked on Fridays. It's quite alright, except for this customer. She tried almost every flavour but decided not to buy when there were no pre-packed pints for the flavours she chose. It's till the extent that it's faster to name out those flavours which she did not try, rather than those that she tried. Waste my time only. Oh ya, she didn't believe me that vouchers can't be used for promotional items. Duh. Duh.

Finally, I tried the new waffle. It's so nice can. I ate it with vanilla and it's great. One thing bad about it is that they should make the waffle bigger. It's really small.

My bro's friend came to our house yesterday and bought a loaf of apple strudel for us. She's really thoughtful, coz XiaoBai has her own present, even if she can't share our strudel.

Worked opening today, like after so long. Had to learn how to do those new creations. Sick lah. But at least I learned a lot. I kept pulling T to do kitchen with me, if not I'll sure be damn stressed.

Then manager J bought things for me to eat again. I was so full until I skipped lunch. I was updated about quite some stuffs though. I wonder what will happen in future...

After that, supervisor J came to work. Chatted quite a lot in the noon too, coz it was raining heavily, meaning less customers. Then worked all the way till 6pm (extended for 2h). Before that, manager bought pizza to share. I didn't eat pizza lah. I ate the spicy drumlets before going home. How ar, work one day only then eat so much...

They said it's good to have me working opening, coz I always get everything done and they dun have to worry. Then they can be "..." Dunno if I should be happy to hear this compliment or not.

They must be disappointed... Haha.

J: Ehh, why you suddenly come back to work?
Me: I free mah...
J: Then when is your holiday?
Me: Erm, this week is my last week of holiday.
J: Why you like that ar... Then you work one day only ar?

I was feeling a bit paiseh lah, coz I promised to work more during school holidays. Everytime also like that mah. But this time got 5 projects! So never give schedule. But I'm still working when school reopens. :)

Me: Ya lar. I used to be the youngest in the shop.

Time flies real fast. I've been working for close to 2 years already...

The Long-Time-No-See Besties

Went out with April yesterday. So sad huh... can only meet during school holidays. Anyway, thanks for accompanying me to HD office to check my pay. By the way, that HR lady is very kind. She offered to help me photocopy some stuff. So I've got some serious admin staff to do today.

Headed to The Cathay after that to see if there's anything we can have for lunch. And I met some BB friends there too. When we were walking down the escalator, someone was giving us flyers. So we gave the restaurant a try.

We had so much fun and laughter with their "All you need to know about coffee" encyclopedia.

I took up the "Coffee Challenge", since I'm a Coffee Addict. I was correct for the first few questions (very unexpected), but my luck changed when I sat on another seat. :x

One thing that I'm so proud of myself is my psychological logic of answering those T/F questions.

They confirm won't waste ink and space to print out the correct answers (if it is false lah). So it must be true.

And this logic of mine pulled me through those T/F questions. :p
