Korean Lessons

Took up survival Korean lessons with Cordelia last month. There are 3 levels altogether but we only went for the first level and omg, it was sufficient for me. I can read and write in Korean already. And because I watch a lot of KDramas and listen to a lot of KPop, I can understand the meaning of simple phrases and words here and there.

According to the Korean teacher, my Korean name is 허원릉 (Heo Won-Reung) / 진 (Jean). And my Japanese twitter friend told me my Japanese name is ジーン (Jean). ^^

Reading and writing of Korean words is actually very simple. I mastered the art of it within 3 lessons lol. It's actually a mix-and-match game of 21 vowels and 19 consonants, of which you place the characters at the top, bottom, left or right, to form a word.

Okay, enough.

We went to have lunch at Swensen's @ Junction 8 after the first lesson.

Merry Christmas Ho Ho Ho

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

My entries are always delayed but my festive/birthday wishes won't. :)

Seen snow? Decorated Christmas tree? Ate log cakes? Ate gingerbread man? Exchanged presents? Enjoy this holiday no matter what~! ^__^

***

Before I end this post, I have something to share. Many years ago, someone surveyed me (and idk how many innocent others) regarding whether I prefer to write 'Merry Christmas' or 'Merry Xmas'.

Come to think of it, I can't believe I actually wasted time to answer this stupid question. It's like asking if you prefer to use 'and' or '&'. A question asking if I like egg white or egg yolk better is somewhat more meaningful.

Last Day of Exam!!

Lunched at Marina Square's Pasta de Waruku on the last day of exam.

I need to go hide cuz this post is up only now when I've already received my results quite long ago... :/

Iced Lemon Tea

Corn Soup. This must be cooked from some instant mix. The powder bits or whatever is still there.

Amelia and Me

Amelia and Cordelia

Cordelia and Me

Seafood Soup Pasta. Their prawns shrank! They used to be so BIG.

Sukiyaki Pasta

Mushroom Pasta

Prawn Gratin. This is the worst I've ever eaten. The cheese is SO SOUPY. I feel like I can drink up the cheese. The manager said it's SUPPOSED to be like that cuz they changed a new type of cheese or whatever. I think they should change their chefs instead.

I used to love their gratin... ><

So I regretted going there just to use up my voucher. I'm never going back to that outlet again. And I'll have to consider if I'm ever going to their other outlets again...

Anyway, it was a Tuesday, meaning there are pint discounts for HD members. But I coincidentally met my manager and got staff discount instead hehe.

Btw, HD has this new flavour called Crème Brûlée. The taste is good but it tastes differently when it's cold. Haha you guys should go try it out.

Hello Peiyun

Peiyun came Singapore for a short holiday and we found time to meet up on her last day. ^^

Lunch at TCC @ Changi Airport T3 Arrival Hall.

Iced Summer Waltz Latte

Penne Mama Mia

Red-hot Chicken Spaghetti

Me and Peiyun

I was late in meeting her cuz I had something on earlier. Then we walked around Raffles City and wasted more time cuz every restaurant was packed. Then we headed to the airport for lunch but TCC's service was unusually slow. She eventually missed her flight back to Taiwan... :(

Anyway, she was only late for 2mins and the airline staff said her ticket was sold. They must have sold it before the time was up. That's why they compensated a ticket. Yucks.

So I got her to stay at my house for a night. :) Got up at 5am plus to send her off.

See you again. :)

Buffet & Ice-cream!

Went to Vienna International Buffet @ United Square for buffet lunch with The Ladies. There were so many prawns cooked in different styles. <3

Amelia and Me

WanQi and Cordelia

Cordelia and I then went to Baskin Robbins @ Velocity while the 2 left early...

Tried Rainbow Sherbet and Gold Medal Ribbon. Rainbow Sherbet is surprisingly nice. Love the mild sour taste.

Mum's Birthday

Treated mum to Swensen's @ Causeway Point on her actual birthday. Dinner celebration with dad and bro was blogged already.

I just realised this post was delayed by almost 3 months... :/

Anyway, their newly renovated restaurant looks good though 90% of the seats seem to be outside the restaurant. But one good thing is it's air-conditioned.

Prawn Dippers

Curry Chicken Baked Rice

Breaded Chicken Meuniere

Complimentary Firehouse Happy Birthday

The Dream

I just tweeted:

Alright, I wanted to pen down my dream on this blog so much after tweeting the above. But since I'm not going to do anything until around 10 years later (lol!), it seems exaggerating and too farfetched to pen down whatever I want to do at this point in time.

The reason for wanting to write about my dream is so that I can look back to this "dreaming" period in the future and be proud about my perseverance and sense of fulfillment.

But since I'm really serious about this dream and I'm sure I won't forget it, this archive shall end here. :)

I graduated!

Got back my final uni semester's results this morning.

I've been so bothered by how I will score in this semester that I'd think about it every few days.

Now that the results are out and good, I'm so very very relieved.

So say goodbye to schools, long bus journeys, projects, lectures and everything else cuz I finally ended my student life. Isn't this awesomeeeeee?!

BUT...

Convocation will only be in Aug 2012, which is so effing long. I'm still deciding on whether to attend it cuz I find it ridiculous to pay so much for just the ceremony when it could have well been covered in the course fees.

Anyway December, thank you for being good.
